rdo;意識潛在的危機，便在《論&ldo;費厄潑賴&rdo;應該緩行》一文中，提出&ldo;痛打落水狗&rdo;的論點。魯迅是不主張寬恕對手的，對惡人尤其不能以善意待之。周作人開始說：&ldo;打&l;落水狗&r;(吾鄉方言，即&l;打死老虎&r;之意)也是不大好的事。……一旦樹倒猢猻散，更從哪裡去找這班散了的，況且在平地上追趕猢猻，也有點無聊卑劣。&rdo;[19]魯迅是反對此種態度的，他雖未點周作人的名，但從&ldo;痛打落水狗&rdo;的呼喊中，可看出他韌的毅力和毫不妥協的一面。後來，周作人也接受了魯迅的觀點，他在《大蟲不死》一文中，隱去了&ldo;費厄潑賴&rdo;的話語，儼然又有一種魯迅的印跡了。
